Set Up Dunning & Reminders
Cards expire and payments fail. Build separate collection tracks for card, ACH, and invoice customers with retries, reminders, and suspensions on your schedule. Click through the interactive demo to see it happen.
What's covered in this product showcase
This walkthrough sets up the follow-up that happens when a payment fails, so customers who would quietly churn over an expired card get caught instead. Here is what you will see, step by step.
- Create separate collection tracks. Card, ACH, and invoice customers fail for different reasons, so each gets its own dunning group.
- Lay out the timeline. Each track is a sequence of retries and reminders. You set the schedule: retry on day 1, email on day 10, suspend on day 60.
- Choose what each step does. A step can retry the payment, send an email or text, suspend or cancel the subscription, or call a webhook.
- Retry smarter. Retry the full balance and fall back to another card on file if the first one fails.
- Send the right message. Use a different email depending on whether the retry worked, so customers only hear from you when it matters.
Failed payments get followed up on their own, in a tone and timing you control, and revenue that would have slipped away comes back without anyone chasing it.
